Poetry for Read Tuesday?

RT Logo 21 (2)

Word about Read Tuesday is spreading well among authors. It’s getting around to readers indirectly from authors. We’d like to help share the news more directly with readers. In part, we’re targeting readers with a few advertisements and we’re working on articles that may get some exposure among readers. We’re looking for other ways to supplement this.

One way would be to have more content at the Read Tuesday website that may attract the attention of readers. The catalogs will interest readers as we approach December 10. We’re looking for other ways to attract readers to the website besides the catalogs. (Authors can click the Authors tab in the index to learn how to add their names and/or books to the catalogs.)

One possibility is to post some poetry that relates to Read Tuesday on the blog. The poetry itself doesn’t need to mention Read Tuesday. It just needs to relate in some way, such as:

  • Reading
  • Literacy
  • Books
  • E-books
  • E-readers
  • Shopping
  • Gifting
  • Sales
  • Discounts
  • Presents
  • Black Friday

If you have other ideas, we’d be happy to hear them. If you disagree with any of these ideas, feel free to share that, too.

If you’d like to submit a poem, article, or other idea for consideration, please contact Chris McMullen at greekphysics@yahoo.com.

You’re welcome to submit the same poem on your blog or anywhere else. You’re welcome to submit a poem that you’ve already posted elsewhere (as long as you have the right to grant us permission to use it).

Read Tuesday will be a one-day sales event like Black Friday, but for books.
